What Can Brown Do For You?

This girl has several nick-names. UPS, Brown and sometime her
real name Phoebe.

Don't Stop

Rosie is enjoying her therapeutic massage and warm salt-water
swim with Brianna the Pet Spa Manager at Paradise Pet Lodge
in Woodinville Wa. Rosie tells me Bri has quite the hands.

In the Spotlight

The therapeutic massage and swims have enabled
Rosie to go for longer walks than she has in the past.
That's saying a lot for someone who's 99 years old
with acute arthritis.

Rosie thanks you all from the bottom of her big furry heart!

Makes You Melt

I am no longer touching-up my sweet Rosie's facial blemishes anymore, she is now 100 years young. That's why you'll see the wart under her left eye. Shot with a very old 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor SLR lens.

I'm Stuck On You

I just finished giving Rosie the last of the Jif peanut butter with her arthritis medication and tossed the empty container in the recycle bin. Then I thought, "what a great gift to Rosie this would be". I waited until the evening light arrived, tossed the Jif jar in the yard and away she went.

Canine Trivia is Back!

Are dogs colorblind?
Dogs are not completely colorblind, but they do only see certain colors. While humans have three receptors in their eye's retina, dogs only have two and have difficulty distinguishing among green, yellow, orange
and red.

How many American households have a dog?
According to the U.S. Pet Ownership and Demographics Sourcebook, about 36 percent of U.S. households included a dog in 2001.

Do dogs sweat?
Contrary to popular belief, dogs do not sweat by salivating. They sweat through the pads of their feet.

The Golder Years

Cooper is by far one of the most relaxed, lovable and photogenic dogs I have ever experienced. He sensed as if he knew I was there to please his master (so we think) and capture his spirit, presence, big brown eyes and his distinguished gray face.

Dreaming Big

Cooper is eleven years young and loves bathing
in the sun on the back deck.

These paws have chased many ducks into Lake Washington and fetched too many balls to count at the park.
