Love this breed. My son and I were just commenting on how "Happy" he looks. I own 2 poodles (min. size) but if I were to get another dog I think it would be this.
Yes, Napa is always happy and has a very sweet disposition. She is a great family pet and loves to retrieve, swim, do tricks, go on walks and is getting pretty good with frisbie.
She is 50:50 mix so she has minor shedding. You can get 75% poodle and 25% retriever or lab and that makes shedding even less likely. Her fur is as soft as it looks, and she requires grooming like a poodle.
I would highly recommend this breed to anyone. We chose it because I'm allergic to dogs and this breed is less allergenic that a pure retriever. It has been 3 years of joy having her in our family.
